WHAT IS BOLTS?
Bolts is a modified deck of playing cards that helps teach the progression and language of skateboarding. Each card is a unique skateboarding trick ranging from the basic ollie and boardslide to the more advanced 360 flip and Smith grind. The four card suits represent the four approaches in skateboarding: Regular, Fakie, Nollie, and Switch. Each trick has a QR code that takes you to several examples and how-to videos.
The Flip deck contains tricks done on flatground, banks, and transition. The Grind deck contains tricks done on curbs, ledges, rails, and coping. Challenge yourself to learn new tricks. Play games on your own or with others.
HOW DO I PLAY?
Shuffle the deck and draw a card. Spin it to change the trick. Depending on the card, spinning can alternate between turning frontside and backside or between kickflip and heelflip. The deck includes optional Joker cards that can be used to modify each trick, making over 200 possible tricks in each deck!
The Flip and Grind decks are designed to complement each other. Draw a card from each deck and create a line (kickflip followed by a boardslide) or a trick combination (kickflip to boardslide). The possibilities are endless! The back of the box has a few game ideas, or you can create your own to match your skill level. You can even just use them as a standard deck of playing cards for games like Solitaire and Texas Hold 'em.
